I've been having issues with my laptop lately. My hard drive failed and had to get it replaced. Then something else went wrong was about to give up hope. After two weeks, I finally have my laptop back! I was able to install the adobe programs I needed again and started using Time Machine to back up my work. For some reason, I was afraid to use Time Machine because I thought it would erase everything on my hard drive and replace it. I have no idea why I thought this but now I use Time Machine and it's great. I can back up all my applications which is awesome.
Since I got my laptop back, these are some doodles I've been working on.
For the first time this year, I finally decided to give myself a schedule to follow. On certain days, I do specific things like a class. Monday is hand and feet drawing. Tuesday is drapery. Wednesday is animal anatomy. Thursday is cars (I really need to force myself to do this one) and Friday is still life/thumbnails for new illustration idea. My goal is to create at least two illustrations a month. I know it doesn't seem like a lot but for me, I need to start somewhere.
I'm on my second week of it and so far it seems to be working on. I plan on doing this for 5 weeks and see how it works. After the 5 weeks, I'll change it and focus on other aspects of drawing. I might use one day for portraiture/face anatomy and structure. Maybe another day I'll focus more on perspective and light and shadow (although I do this in still lives anyway). We'll see how it goes.
